Michael Zavrel has worked on the development of industrial bioprocesses that turn waste into high-quality products. Now the Professor of Bioprocess Engineering is passing on his knowledge from industry in the lab and the lecture hall at the TUM Campus Straubing.
New 30 Liter Bioreactor at BVT!
The BVT lab recently acquired a new 30 L stainless steel bioreactor (Sartorius C-plus). This reactor is another step forward towards achieving one of the professorship’s key goals: Scale-up processes from lab scale into large scale!

The main topic was the “SynergyFuels” project. This opened up links to research groups from Brazil and Australia.
